Hello from Kawagoe, Japan.

My name is Hiro, founder of LEVEL7.

My journey in the watch industry began in 2007 as a retailer, selling watches from major brands and independent makers alike. Over the years, I witnessed the industry evolve as manufacturers moved closer to customers and traditional retail became increasingly competitive.

Rather than competing solely on price, I chose a different path.

I wanted to create something of lasting value with my own hands.

That decision first led me into leathercraft, where I began designing and producing my own handmade products. Later, my passion for vintage Japanese watches drew me deeper into the world of servicing, restoring, and studying mechanical timepieces.

Through the restoration of countless vintage Japanese watches, I gained a unique understanding of what allows a watch to remain useful, desirable, and enjoyable for decades. I learned which designs age gracefully, which construction methods stand the test of time, and which details truly matter to enthusiasts.

LEVEL7 was born from those experiences.

Rather than creating a watch focused on trends, I wanted to build one around longevity, adaptability, and long-term ownership.

Today, the collection consists of three models: LV1, LV2, and LV1-BRASS. While each model has its own distinct character—including a solid brass edition—they all share the same design DNA.

Every case, bezel, dial, and component is designed with interchangeability in mind. This modular architecture allows owners to customize, maintain, and evolve their watches over time without replacing the watch itself.

My goal was to create a watch that can adapt to changing tastes and lifestyles while remaining a trusted companion for decades rather than years.

In many ways, this philosophy comes directly from the vintage watches that inspired me. The watches that survive generations are rarely the most complicated or fashionable. They are the ones that remain serviceable, adaptable, and enjoyable to wear year after year.

Every LEVEL7 watch is personally assembled, regulated, and inspected by hand in my workshop in Kawagoe, Japan.

Many customers also choose one of my handmade leather straps, crafted in the same workshop where every watch is built. Like the watches themselves, these straps are designed to develop character and individuality through years of use.

LEVEL7 is not simply a watch brand.

It is the culmination of nearly two decades spent selling, studying, restoring, and creating watches.

Everything I have learned from the thousands of vintage timepieces that have passed across my workbench has been distilled into a modern watch designed to be worn, maintained, customized, and enjoyed for a lifetime.
